What you get to do:
In this role you will report to our Assistant Controller. The Senior Accountant will be responsible for monthly accounting and reporting duties, including the preparation and reconciliation of general ledger accounts and financial statements.
- Help with the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring transactions are recorded in accordance with US GAAP and internal procedures, including:
- Preparation of adjusting journal entries
- Prepare balance sheet account reconciliations
- Perform analytical procedures to understand the drivers behind changes
- Help prepare monthly financial statements
- Assist with the assessment and implementation of new accounting pronouncements
- Evaluate financial procedures and suggest process improvements
- Help coordinate external audits
- Perform accounting related projects as requested by management
What you will bring to the team:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (Master’s degree in Accounting preferred)
- CPA preferred
- 2+ years Public Accounting (Big Four public accounting preferred)
- Strong understanding of US GAAP and financial reporting
- Proven track record for driving process efficiencies and solving problems
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, meeting deadlines and drive them to completion
- Team player with a strong work ethic
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel functionality, including pivot tables and v-lookups
