About the job.

We’re looking for a Sr. Accounting Manager to join our Finance team on a full-time basis.  In this role you will take ownership of the monthly close and reporting as well as bring your expertise to automate and improve current processes. This person will be detail orientated, self-motivated, and driven by personal success. This role is perfect for you if you thrive in a fast-paced environment and are interested in making your mark on a growing tech company.

How you'll spend your time at Tovala.  

• Leading the month-end closing activities: reconciling revenue, cash, and expense details, preparing month-end adjusting entries
• Preparing accurate financial statements
• Leading the post-close activities: variance analysis, account reconciliations
• Providing analytics and reports for our team and investors
• Preparing input materials for monthly investor updates, quarterly board meetings
• Recommending process improvements in all aspects of the monthly close cycle (pre, post, reporting, etc.) 
• Overseeing annual financial audit
• Leveraging technology to drive nimble solutions and improve business results
• Establishing and maintaining internal controls to support the financial infrastructure.
• Managing banking relationships and analyzing cash flow
• Coordinating administration of insurance policies

Requirements

About you.

• A bachelors in Accounting/Finance
• 8+ years of accounting experience, CPA and/or public accounting experience preferred 
• In-depth knowledge of US GAAP
• Experience implementing ERP systems
• Strong analytical skills and are obsessed with numbers and data... You dream in spreadsheets
• Can adapt to change quickly, tackle unfamiliar tasks and requests with resourcefulness and minimal guidance
• You're interested in startups and excited to work in a fast-paced environment
• Food has played (or continues to play) an important role in your life.
