Senior Accounting Manager

Flexport is looking for a Senior Accounting Manager to join our Finance team. Finance is central to Flexport’s success - creating transparency of company’s performance, financials, risks and internal controls, and building the people, process and product needed for the future of Flexport.
Reporting into the Assistant Controller, you will support the accounting team and be responsible for the monthly and annual close process and financial reporting.
You will:
- Oversee the month-end close processes, including reviewing account reconciliation and journal entries for appropriate accounting treatment, completeness and accuracy.
- Prepare and present our consolidated financial reporting to management.
- Directing efforts in developing, implementing, and maintaining systems, procedures and policies for the group.
- Serve as liaison between the following teams: FP&A and Operations, etc.
- Manage a team of accounting managers and staff.
- Ad-hoc responsibilities/projects as needed (acquisition accounting, systems implementations, etc.)
You should have:
- A Bachelor's degree or above in Accounting, CPA preferred
- 8+ years of working experience progressive responsibilities
- Strong understanding of US GAAP and SEC reporting principles and regulations
- Experience with ERP systems is a must.
- Experience driving change and improving the end-to-end processes with a proven track record in business process re-engineering and systems analysis
- Experience with team supervision or people management
- Prioritization skills and the ability to execute on deliverables in a fast-paced and results-oriented environment.
