As an integral member of the VillageMD Finance team, you will work closely with the Finance Team, VP – Finance, the CFO and Operational Leadership to support the Value Based Care (VBC) market finance team in annual budgeting, quarterly forecasting, market management and leadership reporting, and ad-hoc analysis to support market leadership decision making. Additionally, the Senior Analyst will support inorganic and organic market growth and scaling initiatives for supported markets.

Ideal candidate is an analytical self-starter energized by the idea of working in a high-growth, dynamic healthcare organization.

What you might do in your first year as a Sr Analyst:  

  • Provide monthly insight, analysis and reporting for value-based financial and performance metrics to operators
  • Review monthly market financials, analyze variances, quantify risks and opportunities to plan and providing performance commentary to management
  • Assist with the monthly close process (e.g. review journal entries, perform account analysis etc.)
  • Coordinate with the broader finance and accounting team(s) on existing and new financial policies/processes
  • Drive understanding with operates to drive execution on key revenue, cost and operational performance drivers
  • Analyze and evaluate proposed strategic investments/operating strategies
  • Support quarterly forecasting and annual budgeting for VMD markets
  • Support growth and scaling (acquisition diligence, pro forma preparation, market launch, etc.)
  • Prepare periodic executive and board reporting
  • Build strong relationships with operational leadership

What you bring to VillageMD:  

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, Economics or Finance required
  • 1 - 3 years of finance, data analysis, accounting or related experience
  • Proven ability to analytically problem solve in a dynamic and complex environment, required
  • Ability to learn quickly, think independently, and develop new processes/analyses, required
  • Demonstrated ability to time manage, multi-task and prioritize
  • Financial modeling experience
  • Experience with developing and successfully completing an annual/quarterly financial planning process
  • Advanced Excel ability
  • Minimum foundational knowledge of PowerPoint with a desire to develop executive level presentation skills
  • Aptitude and desire for partnerial relationship development
  • Demonstrated ability to be adaptable, operate with integrity and have an entrepreneurial spirit
  • Desire to learn and develop
  • Knowledge of various financial principles, practices, and applications including budgeting, financial planning, and financial reporting
  • Healthcare experience preferred
