In this role, you will support our Finance and Operations team, which will be a group of data and number-savvy professionals that partner with the product and sales team to unlock all their potential. You will play a meaningful role in supporting our Product and Customers while continuing to strengthen your finance, analysis, and reporting skillsets. You will manage the customer insights reports, develop monthly financial/ KPI reports, and support the CEO and VP of Finance and Operations on presentations and ad-hoc business analyses. The FP&A Analyst will bridge the gap between finance and business by using data to assess processes, determine requirements and deliver data-driven recommendations and reports while supporting the strategy initiatives of the company. They will play an integral role in uncovering areas of opportunity and implementing solutions across the company. 

This role will report directly to the VP of Finance and Operations and will work in a highly visible role that works cross-functionally with leadership throughout the organization.

What You Will Do:  

  • Prepare monthly financial reports and KPI reports 

  • Support quarterly and annual planning and budgeting cycles 

  • Deliver monthly customer insight reports  

  • Effectively communicate plans, variances and insights to leadership 

  • Manage ad hoc projects, develop project plans, and monitor performance 

  • Support the VP Finance and Operations with projects that will inform company strategy 

  • Perform detailed data analysis and research opportunities for improved business processes 

  • Build financial models for sales, internal business operations, and product teams 

  • Create brand new reporting models from scratch to help improve the analysis and monitoring of business segments and available data. 

  • Champion existing models and continually make process improvements to enable automated efficiencies and reporting 

 

Required Qualifications  

  • 2-5 years of experience in an FP&A or business analysis 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in business administration, finance, or accounting 

  • Prior experience working in FP&A, corporate finance, project controllers, consulting, or a finance/accounting development program 

  • Highly organized and detail-oriented who can operate independently and take initiative 

with little direction  

  • Detail oriented, able to problem solve using existing tools, and produce reports with minimal errors in a fast-paced environment 

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills  

  • Excellent documentation and reporting skills 

  • Ability to work closely with and influence stakeholders 

  • Data Analysis - Extract, manipulate and organize data in response to management/reporting needs/requests 

  • Excellent analytical, mathematical, and creative problem-solving skills 

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills. Exposure to Access and SQL 

  • Demonstrated ability to roll-up sleeves and work with team members in a hands-on management capacity 

 
Desired Background / Experience: 

  • Interest in the technology and real estate industries  

  • Highly efficient with Microsoft Office suite, with advanced knowledge of Excel (i.e. Vlookups, Pivot tables), PowerPoint and QuickBooks. 

  • Experience or desire to learn and use Access and SQL 

  • Humble and hungry self-starter with a strong desire to learn, drive improvements, and evolve 

  • Highly motivated with both an entrepreneurial spirit and a strong team mentality 

  • Ability to analyze business problems and find solutions need to be able to diagnose problems based on information given to them by others. They then analyze relevant information to solve the problems. 

  • Analytical skills - Use a wide range of methods, such as forecasting, data mining, and statistical analysis, to examine and interpret data.  

  • Critical-thinking skills - must be able to figure out what information is relevant to their work. They also must be able to evaluate the costs and benefits of alternative solutions before making a recommendation.
