The Opportunity:
As a Senior Financial Reporting Analyst, you will support our marketplace and our company’s financial operations. You will be personally responsible for assignments critical to the success of the accounting and financial reporting team and will work across the company. This role provides an amazing opportunity to jumpstart your financial reporting career. You will gain exposure to all aspects of our business, learn from experienced managers and challenge yourself to master new responsibilities.
How your role contributes to the success of Vivid Seats:
- Assist with the coordination and preparation of SEC 10-Q/K filings including all financial statements and footnotes.
- Maintains accurate records for use in reporting, internal audit and external audit.
- Provide assistance to external auditors during quarterly review and annual audit processes.
- Research technical accounting matters and SEC requirements and assist with the company-wide implementation of new accounting pronouncements and reporting requirements, as needed.
- Assist Financial Reporting team in special projects, specifically supporting day-to-day operationalization.
How your role expectations will progress as a Senior Financial Reporting Analyst in the first 30, 90, and 180 days:
30 days in
- Complete new hire orientation, gaining the resources you need to be successful.
- Learn how ticket marketplaces operate and how you’ll contribute to providing great experiences for our customers.
- Acclimate to team and company norms, business objectives, and Vivid Seats values.
- Begin learning the accounting structure for many aspects of Vivid Seats.
90 days in
- Enhance our approaches, methods, or technologies to mitigate risks and improve efficiencies.
- Build, maintain, and leverage internal and external relationships to achieve progress and advance objectives.
- Collaborate with various levels of the accounting team to ensure accuracy of reporting.
- Partner with the Accounting and Finance teams to streamline financial reporting process.
180 days in
- Design and implement process improvements that positively impacts the team.
- Mentor others, playing an active role in elevating the skill sets of those you work with.
- Change and improve processes to increase accuracy and effectiveness.
- Lead the preparation and coordination of the SEC 10-Q/K filings including all financial statements and footnotes.
What You’ll Bring:
- Comprehensive understanding of accounting principles; CPA or Masters in Accounting preferred
- 3+ years of relevant accounting experience
- Strong competency in relevant SEC reporting and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Experience in project management, including continuous improvement efforts related to financial processes, system and tools to optimize productivity and internal controls
- Thorough understanding of accounting principles
- Excellent Microsoft Excel skills
- High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Intrinsic desire to complete challenging tasks accurately and timely
- Ability to manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously
