Senior FX Options Trader (Multiple Openings)
Optiver US LLC seeks a Senior FX Options Trader (multiple openings) at its facility located at 130 E. Randolph St., Suite 1400, Chicago, IL 60601.
S/he will run the trading desk strategy by adjusting parameters of trading algorithms and making trading decisions within the framework of the desks' trading strategy. S/he will recommend investments and investment timing and analyze pricing or risks of trading decisions. S/he will mentor and supervise 1 employee including a Junior Options Trader on a peer basis by providing coaching on derivatives and trading practices. S/he will identify trends in the market and build automated strategies to capture the available opportunities. S/he will apply mathematical or statistical techniques to address practical issues in finance, such as derivative valuation, securities trading, risk management, or financial market regulation. S/he will collaborate with product development teams to research, model, validate, or implement quantitative structured solutions for new or expanded markets. S/he will collaborate in the development or testing of new analytical software to ensure compliance with user requirements, specifications, or scope. S/he will have final authority over optimizing all algorithmic trading parameters. This requires extensive data analysis and collaboration with other trading and development leads. S/he will set the long term vision for the team's path with the goal of delivering strong trading profits.
REQS:
- This position requires a Bachelor’s degree, or its foreign equivalent, in Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Business Administration, or related field, plus 3 years of work experience in market making FX and metals options.
- The applicant must also have work experience with:
- (1) 3 years of experience with trading on currencies and metals options
- (2) 3 years of experience applying knowledge of macro events that drive the dollar and other currencies to determine inputs like volatility and skew towards the pricing of option contracts
- (3) 3 years of experience applying knowledge of supply and demand of Gold, Silver and Copper that drive the product prices as well as their impact on volatility and skew
- (4) 3 years of experience using Onetick for statistical analysis of trade and financial data
- (5) 3 years of experience using Python to script the automation scripts that assist in electronic trading
- (6) 3 years of experience using Bloomberg to download data, research, and processes to make trading decisions
