Job Description
Role:
ServiceNow is looking for a Senior Manager, Accounting who has a positive attitude and is highly motivated to learn and grow within the organization and proven ability to thrive successfully in a fast paced multi-task oriented environment.
What you get to do in this role:
- Manage, coordinate, and lead a team in monthly, quarterly, and year-end accounting close activities
- Provide planning, direction and coordination of accounting functions
- Identify and implement process improvements and automation to reduce time to close and improve accuracy of underlying accounting records
- Provide leadership and guidance through coaching and mentoring
- Partner with cross-functional teams on a regular basis to identify areas for improvement and solve problems
- Lead critical accounting projects including the design, implementation and maintenance of key finance and reporting systems
- Ensure accounting systems are mature and scalable to support the accurate and timely reporting of financial data
- Accountable for the development, deployment and modernization of processes and SOX controls using analytics, automation and advanced technology
- Ensure accurate and timely reporting of financial results in accordance with US GAAP and global accounting policies
- Manage audits by interfacing with auditors, IT and Internal Audit, ensuring timely completion of audit deliverables
- Design, implement, and maintain effective global accounting processes, policies, and procedures
Qualifications
To be successful in this role you have:
- Strong technical accounting background with a knowledge of US GAAP, as well as experience with technical research
- Total experience of minimum 8 years experience in a high growth environment with a minimum of 4~5 years of Big 4 public accounting experience
- Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Finance or Accounting
- CPA or equivalent preferred
- Strong project management and process improvement skills; proficiency with KPIs, analytic storytelling and data visualization
- Experience with SAP or other large ERP system is strongly preferred
- Exceptional people leadership skills with demonstrated ability to attract, develop, motivate, and manage a high-performance and high-potential team in a collaborative and complex environment
- Energetic and positive attitude
- Ability to think strategically, communicate vision, and execute plans to meet business objectives
- Proven ability to identify and drive process and system improvements
- Ability to lead and mentor but also roll up sleeves and be a team player
- Ability to build relationships and influence others in order to achieve successful outcome in cross-functional projects and activities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills including the ability to effectively communicate accounting results to both accounting and non-accounting stakeholders at various levels of the organization
