The Opportunity:  

The Senior Technical Analyst will drive Flexport's path to cleaner data quality by supporting in automating reporting, building out new tools, making items self-serve, enabling planning directly into our systems and serving as the financial systems expert supporting FP&A. 

Flexport is currently in the process of aligning the business to similar KPIs and targets - this role will help make sure all organizations worldwide are looking at the data in the same way. This role will be critical to make sure all parties of Flexport are aligned on data structure and metrics supporting our headquarters and regions.He/she will be a thought leader and have the potential to ascend to more senior roles within the organization.

You will:

• Identify and execute projects that align the state of Flexport’s data quality and reporting with company goals
• Be a strong cross-functional partner between Finance, Data Analytics, Demand, Supply, Compensation, Pricing and Sales Ops team
• Help translate Flexport company goals to data driven processes - ranging from dashboard creation, assistance with compensation planning and key metric development
• Focus on driving Flexport to have cleaner data in regards to reporting for both accounting and managerial purposes, target setting, compensation and attainment
• Help set up the data audit processes based on company guidance and partner with various teams across the organization for execution
• Build Looker Dashboards using existing Explores or database queuerying
• Support any ad hoc queries as they arise

You should have: 

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Data Science or related technical field required
• Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in FP&A, Data Analytics or related field
• MS Excel skills required
• SQL fluency required
• Experience using Looker, Netsuite, Adaptive and/or Workday preferred
• Very high attention to detail and accuracy and strong analytical skills required
• Articulate and persuasive communication skills, both written and verbal
