The Sr Financial Analyst FP&A will take a meticulous, passionate, and driven individual to work alongside our team to aide the finance and accounting groups within our multi-brand $1B+ e-commerce company. We're actively searching for a finance master to join us at FTD who will withstand the barrage of awesome numbers and statistics that will help tell our story.

You will work closely with our Sr Manager and VP of FP&A and interact with all levels of Finance including our CFO. You will need to be efficient, agile, and a multi-tasking guru to manage and support our teams. The right person for this job has organizational skills and is a problem solver. Learning is essential for the role and we will help you every single day with collaboration, good communication, and the occasional compliments while working with various FTD Corporate teams.

You will help with compiling analysis to support underlying Statutory and GAAP results. This position is pivotal in preparing the information for presentation to our leadership team and outside partners. In addition to results analysis, you also help support our multi-year plan process, by preparing aspects of the planning model and related presentation materials. The FP&A team is responsible for delivering valuable business analysis and meaningful financial metrics in support of enterprise-wide decision-making. This team will have a comprehensive understanding of all key business drivers and sophisticated financial models.

What you will get to do:

  • You will be supporting and partnering with individuals including the leaders across the business to provide valuable insight into the business through a thorough analytical approach.
  • You participate in an efficient and comprehensive process for developing financial plans (annual budgets, monthly re-forecasts, and long-range strategic plans); linking analysis to the strategic objectives.
  • You prepare a monthly reporting package for the executive leadership that includes earnings analysis, selected financial documents, important metrics, and insights into key business trends.
  • You support quarterly GAAP and STAT external reporting to deliver high quality, timely and accurate statements including projections.
  • You help the preparation process to provide relevant data for earnings release and earnings call processes.
  • You prepare presentations for senior management, rating agencies, stock analysts, and Boards of Directors.
  • You get to provide financial modeling, financial analysis and valuation support for acquisitions, new product development, long-term contracts, and other ad-hoc financial projects.
  • You develop and enhance competitive intelligence and customer intelligence in partnership with other leaders in finance, investments, actuarial and sales/marketing.
  • You will have involvement in the analysis of the company's capital position relative to NAIC, the rating agency, and other regulatory models requirements.
  • You provide peer company, industry and competitor analysis to help manage our business and to respond to industry issues and concerns on a timely basis.
  • Developing product line profitability monitoring and analysis of key financial indicators including earnings and ROE, and others.

We want to engage and Develop analysis tools (e.g. analytical and trend reports) to assist FP&A, Management Reporting and Financial Reporting review results. We need to lead business analysis that impacts our ability to achieve results and support a culture of financial transparency and continuous improvement.

Experience and Education Requirements

We are looking for someone with a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Actuarial or related field. Additionally, 4-6 years related professional experience in financial reporting and/or analysis required. If you have your CPA or MBA it is strongly preferred and Big-4 Audit is great. Knowledge of accounting practices and principles is crucial.

Do you feel proficient with business and financial software applications, including other Microsoft applications? Computer skills are required, of course, especially in MS Excel.
