GENERAL SUMMARY & SCOPE

The General Accounting department is seeking an experienced Staff/Senior Accountant to assist with the accounting close process while supporting internal and external reporting.  Improve our ability to support the business and respond to the increasing demand for information. Take ownership of certain areas serving as a resource and expert for those related items. Assist with internal control compliance and various audits.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES 

• Actively participate in period, quarter, and year-end accounting close
• Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations and work-papers
• Work with business partners to obtain information supporting accruals and adjustments
• Analyze accounting results, investigate variances and document findings
• Support the financial reporting process and communication of results
• Help ensure compliance with internal control policies and procedures
• Assist with internal and external audits
• Provide support for budget and forecast preparation

Requirements

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• BS degree in Accounting and CPA required
• 3-5 years of accounting experience
• Retail or public accounting experience preferred

• Proficient in Excel and Word, SAP knowledge is a plus
