Sr. Treasury Associate at Affirm

We are looking for a smart, proactive and experienced individual to join as a Treasury Associate. Treasury is responsible for the cash management and operations, funding and liquidity planning; and balance sheet risk management of a rapidly growing FinTech company. As we continue to scale the treasury capabilities, the ideal candidate should be able to adapt and thrive in a fast-paced environment with an eagerness to learn and grow!
What you'll do
- Support all treasury related functions with a focus on Funding and Liquidity Planning; and Balance Sheet Risk Management
- Conduct funding capacity forecasting based on projected asset growth to measure funding requirements and timing
- Collaborate with internal Treasury team and cross functional partners to enhance existing forecasting and simulation tool which intends to measure and optimize impacts on the internal goals from a proposed funding plan
- Maintain a suite of current risk reporting (e.g. origination volume and forecasting trend, concentration and trigger monitoring, EWIs, liquidity status, securitization monitoring, liquidity and funding, IRR, FX and Capital KRIs...etc) to support proactive identification of adverse risk trends
- Provide support on designing and implementing new Treasury reporting analytics capabilities
- Perform short-term and long-term cashflow projection modeling and help incorporate new modeling features and assumptions as needed
- Coordinate with relevant stakeholders to prepare for ALCO, QBR, Capital Risk Sync and relevant committees/meetings
- Assist on the review and recalibration of the balance sheet risk limit and appetite as part of the risk management framework
- Support the design, implementation and ongoing maintenance of balance sheet risk models and stress testing methodology
- Work cross functionally with Capital Markets, Finance Engineering, Strategic Finance, and Treasury Product teams
What we look for
- 2+ years of financial services experience in treasury or related financial function
- BA/BS degree in business, finance, economics, or similar quantitative discipline
- Demonstrable experience at lending institution and have familiarity with financial market funding instruments such as warehouse facilities and securitization
- Possess strong analytical quantitative capabilities with statistical modeling knowledge and background
- Proactive self-starter who is eager to learn and broaden treasury knowledge and skill set
- Knowledge and/or experience should include: Excel, PowerPoint, VBA, Python, SQL and Bloomberg
