We are excited to bring on a new Staff Accountant to join our fast paced Accounting team here at FourKites. It is an exciting time within the Accounting team as we rapidly scale, create new processes, and improve what we already do. This team-member will have high career potential and support day to day accounting operations including, journal entries, reconciliations, commission calculations, and more.  

What you’ll do:

• Calculate, organize, and own org-wide commissions
• Support ad-hoc projects that improve processes and analyze data
• Assist in establishing new procedures, policies, and documentation
• Prepare journal entries and maintain the accounting for critical areas of the business 
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts to ensure accurate financial reporting
• Support audits of financial statements and internal controls
• Research technical accounting issues, as needed
• Assist in preparation of financial statements and management reporting packages
• Recommend process efficiencies and further develop the internal controls framework
• Collaborate with team members in US & India

What you’ll need:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or equivalent degrees
• 1-3 years of accounting or financial analysis experience
• Demonstrated working knowledge of accounting and finance principles and practices
• Strong understanding of GAAP, internal controls, and financial analysis 
• Attention to detail and ability to learn in a rapidly changing environment
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• CPA a plus
