You’ll take on the role of our detailed and customer-focused Staff Accountant and work as part of the accounting team to help drive improvements to the accounting and financial reporting functions of the company.

What you’ll be doing:

• The Staff Accountant will be a hands-on member of the accounting team, responsible for month-end close procedures, financial reporting, and ensuring the accuracy of accounting records and financial reporting. Activities include:
• Prepare/review journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, cash application and expense coding
• Maintaining contract/billing detailed schedules
• Preparing commission calculations
• Analyze assigned accounts and document monthly variance analysis
• Recommend and help implement improved controls and processes
• Support business processes and the enforcement of company policies
• General ledger and accounting system maintenance
• Support financial statement audits, tax and regulatory compliance
• Provide excellent customer service to employees, vendors and customers

What we’re looking for:

• 1-3 years experience working in accounting - public accounting is a plus
• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting - CPA candidate is a plus
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills
• Ability to learn quickly and problem solve
• Growth mindset and excited by continuous improvement
• Very detail oriented and organized individual with the aptitude to succeed in a high growth, dynamic environment
• Effective communicator, collaborator, and team member
