Tiege Hanley is a three-year-old company that sells men’s skin care boxes and has experienced significant growth in the last year. Our mission is to help men look and feel amazing. We achieve our goal by providing the highest quality skin care products on the market, with a simplified packing system at an affordable price.
Tiege Hanley’s Finance team is charged with supporting the growth of the business on every level, but primarily managing all financial reporting, data analysis, sales tax and payroll processes.
The Staff Accountant:
The Staff Account will support the controller on a broad range of accounting and finance tasks. They will work on daily, weekly and monthly on going responsibilities, while also being challenged with specific projects to support broader company initiatives.
The Staff Account must have’s
- Very good understanding of GAAP
- Analytical and inquisitive
- Detailed and thorough
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and participate in the monthly close process including prepare monthly journal entries, complete bank reconciliations, update monthly financial reports.
- Maintain accrual schedules (Deferred Revenue, PTO, Accrued Expenses, Prepaid, etc.) on a monthly basis
- Analyze financial reports and records, make recommendations relative to the accounting of reserves, assets and expenditures
- Enhance and maintain the Corporate budget file by updating with monthly results, working with lead team members to update projected spend and analyzing results.
- Create scenario modeling to support marketing initiatives
- Create modeling to support roll out of new products including cost analysis and product pricing.
- Ad hoc reporting and other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; CPA preferred/seeking
- 2+ years accounting experience in a corporate environment
- Knowledge of fundamental accounting principles, practices and procedures
- Proficiency in Excel (complex spreadsheets)
- Experience with modeling of data and presenting to non-financial team members
- Comfortable working in a start-up environment where jack of all trades applies on a daily basis and prioritization is a key to success.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, ability to communicate with all levels of the organization
- Able to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
