What You’ll Do

We’re looking for a staff accountant who’s not just about crunching numbers, but who has an entrepreneurial spirit and wants to work for a company where they can have a voice and an impact, playing a key role in managing the company’s financials and supporting leadership decision making. The staff accountant will report to the Controller and will have broad exposure to other teams as well as senior management. Tech-savvy individuals who have a passion for automating and streamlining procedures are preferred.


Responsibilities:

  • Lead month-end close process, preparing journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations to support a timely close
  • Manage and update accounting processes and procedures while finding ways to improve efficiency and accuracy
  • Support budget and forecast management by interfacing with leadership team to ensure diligent monitoring and provisioning
  • Work closely with external auditors to provide support for annual audit
  • Assist with annual tax filings and reporting deadlines
  • Enter credit card transactions and ensure employee compliance with company expense policy
  • Own and oversee the Accounts Payable process


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
  • 2+ years of professional accounting experience
  • Strong organizational skills with an attention to detail
  • Self-starter who looks for ways to improve efficiency and accuracy
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel
  • Strong understanding of GAAP
  • Public accounting experience a plus
