Working in Goods, you will join a retail-savvy team whose goal is to procure and provide customers with the products they want, when they want them. As a Strategic Pricing Analyst you will play a meaningful role in continuing to build Groupon into a daily habit with our customers. We put the customer at the center of everything we do, and we’re seeking a hungry, data-driven analytics professional to help keep us focused on that mission. In this role you will collaborate with cross-functional partners to analyze pricing performance, find opportunities for improvement, and develop plans of action to improve performance of growth programs. You will be required to develop an in-depth understanding of our data structures, tools, and business processes for handling daily pricing and promotional activities, and generate objective, data-driven, and actionable short and long-term recommendations.

 

You'll spend time on the following:

  • You will collect, analyze, and evaluate data to understand pricing & business trends and measure effectiveness of promotional campaigns, programs, and price tests

  • You will develop insights to find opportunities, and take action through partnership with Merchandising, Product & Engineering and various other teams

  • Communicate performance and analyses to key partners across the organization

  • You will drive operational changes required from introduction of new products and continued improvements

  • You will respond to competitor activity and other urgent issues

  • You are able to work in a dynamic environment

  • Analyze current business processes to identify areas of opportunity for improvement and streamlining, work closely with business and engineering partners to affect these changes

 

We're excited about you if you have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in STEM, Business, Economics or equivalent work experience

  • Shown strong quantitative and analytical skills

  • 2+ years of relevant experience in e-commerce, retail, operations, and/or business consulting roles that has included quantitative analysis

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and SQL

  • Experience with Tableau or other data visualization tools

  • Familiarity with scripting languages such as R is a plus

  • Clear and effective communication skills

  • Self-starter, go-getter, adaptive to fast-paced working environment
