Strategic Pricing Analyst

What will you be doing?
The Strategic Pricing Analyst will work alongside the Yield Execution Manager to develop regional market expertise and execute pricing opportunities. As the Strategic Pricing Analyst, you will be responsible for analyzing internal data and implementing a predefined pricing strategy for contractual opportunities within a specific region. You will collaborate cross-functionally with our Account Managers, Carrier Sales Reps, Customer Sales Reps, and Strategic Capacity team on regional pricing strategy and support MoLo's goal of delivering the best possible customer experience.
Main Responsibilities:
- Develop regional expertise and execute bid-specific pricing strategies on contractual opportunities
- Provide adjusted and estimated to-the-truck costs at the time of final award to assist with the sign-off process and estimate profitability
- Work with regional Carrier Reps to confirm and understand all available capacity and operational needs while also creating solutions for underperforming lanes
- Analyze market trends and drive communication internally regarding market trends and opportunities for profitability gains
- Work with the Yield Execution Manager to ensure API rating tools are up to date
- Validate current lane capacity and rates for the upcoming bid cycles while updating leadership on underutilized capacity
- Actively communicate operational details that prevent optimal capacity to the Customer Sales, Account Management, and Customer Operations teams
Requirements
What we're looking for:
- Minimum 2 years of third-party logistics experience
- Proven knowledge of truckload market trends and truckload pricing analysis experience is required
- Detail-oriented with the ability to succeed in a deadline-driven environment
- Demonstrated strong quantitative and analytical skills
- Self-starter with strong communication, collaboration, and leadership skills
- Proficient in Excel
- Bachelor's degree preferred
