We are looking for a Tax Director to join our team, based in Chicago, reporting to our Global Head of Tax. This role will provide an opportunity to learn new, substantive tax areas and trading businesses. In this role, you will be responsible for the tax compliance team and the numerical analysis of tax planning.

How you will make an impact:

• Provide technical tax support across a global principal trading firm that trades various financial products, physical assets and cryptoassets
• Manage and review tax compliance for multi-state and multi-national locations and operations
• Assist with domestic partnership transaction structuring
• Review compliance of global indirect taxes (sales, use, VAT, GST,etc.) and related planning issues
• Assist with tax analysis of direct and indirect operation and disposition of real estate investments
• Provide tax advice to partners and business unit leaders on various tax planning issues

 What you will bring to the team:

• 10+ years of relevant experience
• Experience in public accounting or financial services
• Prior responsibility for domestic tax compliance process of pass-through financial services entities required
• Prior exposure to taxation of financial products
• A desire to learn new businesses and new areas of tax
• Comfort with massive complexity of operations and data flow
• CPA
