This is an exciting opportunity for an entry level accounting professional to get started as a Tax Staff Accountant with a growing organization.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Process data and complete required online and paper filings for state and local Use and Property Taxes
• Prepare and compile various tax schedules for the preparation of Federal and state tax returns
• Help maintain and update monthly tax provision calculation
• Review and prioritize incoming business license applications and renewal forms
• Perform research and analysis to assist with determining reporting requirements and other tax issues based on Federal, state, and local jurisdiction regulations
• Update and maintain data regarding tax filings on a calendar/tracker
• Communicate with city, county, and local jurisdictions as needed
• Work with licensing and accounting departments on ad hoc projects and special reporting requirements
• Assists with state and local audits as necessary

Position requirements:

• Undergraduate Degree in Accounting
• 1 – 3 years professional accounting experience
• CPA or actively pursuing CPA License mandatory
• Strong analytical and accounting skills
• Advanced Excel and Word skills
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, a strong work ethic, and demonstrated teamwork skills
• Excellent time management skills and the ability to manage multiple deadlines/assignments
• Personal motivation and a sense of ownership
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
