TRADER - OPTIONS MARKET MAKER
Description
Major Responsibilities: Identify, maintain and enhance trading strategies and business opportunities. Engage in government bond option trading and risk management, working with developers to enhance the option trading platform and adapt to the evolving trading environment. Manage brokerage and trading relationships to extract information and trading volume from the market. Use analytical methods and a data-driven approach to make and automate trading decisions in a fast-paced environment. Manage execution of complex trading portfolio. Work within risk management guidelines. Collaborate cross-functionally with technology team to understand, maintain and improve our electronic trading systems. Utilize Strategic competitive activities in order to accelerate market share and profitability options by increasing on screen traded volumes and over the counter (OTC) trading volumes by providing the brokers/banks/hedge funds with very competitive prices and liquidity on trading software systems RTS and ORC. Utilize Analytical and problem solving skills of the term structure of the European bond options and JGB bond markets with the correct level and timing to place trades on these inter market spreads. Understand Option valuation, hedging and portfolio hedging/risk management including volatility curve shifts as underlying to make trading decisions and to evaluate the whole options portfolio and to be able to make market (vol/skew) assumptions based upon historical analyses and experience to correctly hedge the position. Responsible for Algorithmic trading and programmable trading software to implement multiple strategies including a multi-depth quoting system, a hedging algorithm, an electronic eye trading algorithm and a spread trading algorithm. Function as a High volatility (black swan) trading specialist to take advantage of the chaos and either profit from having existing positions that were beneficial to these moves or to be able to turn a losing position around and recover into profitability. Ability for Highly numeric to process mental calculations quickly and accurately and processing large quantities of trades and correctly hedging and working out the associated risks attached to each trade.
Job Requirements: Applicant must possess 10 years of professional experience working in the JGB (Japanese Government Bond) options trading industry. Additionally, the applicant must have professional experience in the following: 1.) Strategic competitive activities in order to accelerate market share and profitability options by increasing on screen traded volumes and over the counter (OTC) trading volumes by providing the brokers/banks/hedge funds with very competitive prices and liquidity on trading software systems RTS and ORC; 2.)
