The trading technical support specialist role at ErisX is the technical bridge between our customers and our technology system. In this role you will help investigate and resolve complex technical issues that customers or 3rd party vendors may experience. You will also work directly with customers to help them integrate with ErisX systems and ensure a smooth technical onboarding process. To achieve this you will work closely with engineering, infrastructure and client services teams.
Responsibilities
- Identity, investigate and resolve technical trading issues
- Apply trading forensics to understand complicated trading scenarios
- Assist customers with API and connectivity troubleshooting
- Analyze market data and order entry feeds
- Reproduce issues found by customers
- Performance measurement
- Automation of analytics
- Work closely with development team, vendors, and market operations teams to resolve issues
Experience
- 5+ years of experience
- Experience with trading protocols
- Trading system rules (Matching Algorithms, Price banding, price protections)
- Understanding of performance dynamics and measurement
- Experience leading customer facing technical support teams
Skills
- FIX Protocol
- Binary protocols
- Scripting or programming language
- TCP / IP stack
- Wireshark or similar
- Networking
- Jira and Confluence
The candidate must be eligible to work in the United States.
