VP, Assistant Treasurer, Global Liquidity
Job Description
We’re seeking an Assistant Treasurer, Global Liquidity to join Nielsen Connect’s Treasury team. The Assistant Treasurer is a key financial leadership position with global responsibilities in the areas of treasury operations, liquidity, bank relationship management, policy & process improvement, systems, technology and financial controls. The ideal candidate will have exceptional communication skills and the ability to interact with all levels of leadership, as well as internal and external stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Oversee/manage global liquidity and cash management operations (both US and international) for a company with a presence in nearly 100 countries
Optimize the company’s global cash management framework to drive efficiencies and enhancements
Lead systems and technology initiatives which will include working with Enterprise Platforms
Assess current processes and policies, and as appropriate, recommend and implement improvements
Oversee/manage a short-term borrowing facility
Oversee netting and cash pooling structures
Drive the cash repatriation, intercompany loan transaction and dividend processes; requires liaising regularly with Tax, Legal, Finance and country controllers
Liaise regularly with the FCF team with respect to cash forecasting and cash positioning
Oversee bank account management, including the maintenance and organization of bank accounts, account signers and company-assigned powers of attorney
Oversee and maintain the internal Treasury Website
Lead and manage a team of 4 professionals, as well as 1 member of Connect’s Financial Leadership Program (FLP) when Treasury is hosting a rotational FLP assignment
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Must Haves:
Knowledge of treasury systems and technology
Experience managing global Treasury Operations and liquidity forecasting, utilizing best practices
7+ years of progressive leadership in Treasury for multinational corporations
Excellent presentation and written and verbal communication skills. Able to efficiently work with senior management and other stakeholders
Strong desire for continuous improvement and drive to execute changes
Demonstrated ability to organize and manage multiple deliverables to ensure timely and accurate completion
Solution-oriented with strong follow-through and prioritization skills
Passion for technology: Has a comfort and passion for learning and working with new technology. Intermediate proficiency in Google and Microsoft Suites, expected to reach advanced over time
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field preferred
CTP a plus
