Could this be you?

As the Vice President Corporate Development, you would partner with external advisors and internal colleagues to identify strategic opportunities, ensure capital is deployed against the highest priorities, identify, and prioritize acquisition and partnership opportunities, and execute select transactions.  For these transactions, you would lead execution of the transaction – supporting and coordinating sourcing, developing the financial model and valuation, managing cross-functional due diligence, leading negotiation and transaction structuring, supporting integration and understanding the transaction impacts.

How you can make a difference

  • Identify and prioritize strategic opportunities and develop execution plans
  • Evaluate competitive landscape and prioritize potential transaction partners
  • Oversee the due diligence process, leading financial and other critical elements and partnering with team members across VillageMD, as well as external advisors, to ensure completion of broad-based diligence and integration planning
  • Develop sophisticated financial models and perspectives on valuation across multiple dimensions for select transactions.
  • Structure and negotiate pursued transactions
  • Partner with VillageMD’s financial/operating leadership to develop and implement integration plans, establish financial planning / KPIs to be measured post-close, and measure performance.
  • Develop and mentor junior team members.

Skills for success

  • A willingness to learn on your own and take initiative with minimal direction
  • Significant experience developing strategies and leading complex transactions
  • A bias for action and pragmatic solutions
  • Demonstrated leadership skills, with the ability and willingness to drive collaboration across the team and a commitment to transparency on open matters, next steps, and performance measurement
  • High emotional intelligence including the ability to develop substantial relationships and successfully navigate diverse partner groups
  • Shown experience performing under pressure in an extremely fast-paced and constantly evolving environment with a strong sense of urgency and attention to detail
  • A low ego and humility; an ability to gain trust through strong communication and doing what you say you will do

Experience to drive change

  • MBA, CFA or equivalent degree required.
  • 14+ years of experience in M&A, via some combination of corporate development, private equity, investment banking, venture capital or consulting required.
  • Minimum of five years of healthcare industry experience (excluding pharma and biotech) required.
  • Extensive deal management experience.
  • Familiarity with healthcare economics, with knowledge of physician practice, other care delivery and managed care preferred
