We are seeking a Full-Stack Web Developer who has an interest in the financial markets and can lead the development of one of our trading evaluation platforms. For the right candidate, this position offers excellent growth opportunities.
The litmus test for an ideal candidate for this role includes the following: If given a set of HTML and CSS templates and a strong spec, you can build a web application with dynamic content populated by AJAX requests and deploy it to AWS, this could be a fit. If you’re full-stack and missing a piece of the big picture, but are confident you can learn, expect a challenge, we still welcome your application.
The Role:
- Design, develop, maintain, and improve a core product by working across the stack
- Work with our product team in an agile fashion to determine the feasibility of new features
- Handle systems design and implement procedures
- Improve the efficiency of our development process
- Assist in recruiting and growing a team of developers
Requirements and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science and/or ability to develop a full-stack web application
- Experience with common web-based languages and frameworks, e.g., Ruby on Rails (preferred), Django Python, JavaScript, (Angular2 with TypeScript ideal)
- Focus on readability, maintainability, and scalability when writing code
- Strong familiarity with SQL databases
- Strong familiarity with API design (REST, SOAP, etc.) / integrations
- Strong OOP design principles
- Use existing technologies, rather than building from scratch
Preferred Requirements and Qualifications:
- HTML/CSS knowledge
- NoSQL experience-especially Redis
- Parallel / distributed computing experience
- Financial knowledge
- Continuous integration knowledge
