Primary Purpose
The Reporting & Analytics team is responsible for delivering business intelligence solutions by summarizing and presenting HR, financial, and operational data to stakeholders and brands. Our team utilizes various reporting environments, including Azure SQL data warehouse, Success Factors, ad-hoc data sources, and third-party platforms.
As an Analyst III, you will support the transformation and delivery of both recurring and ad-hoc reports from these sources to meet business needs. You will leverage tools such as Power BI, SQL, Excel, and others. With minimal guidance, you will conduct HR analysis, identify process gaps, address ad-hoc tickets, pinpoint data quality errors, and create reports for stakeholders and brands.
Our flexible/ hybrid work schedule includes 3 in-person days at one of our core locations and 2 remote days.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Works with stakeholders to develop and/or modify reporting or processes to resolve simple business problems by leveraging data pipelines, includes but not limited to analysis of business and user needs, documenting business requirements and translating business requirements into functional solutions.
  • Develops reports, visualizations using business intelligence tools such as Power BI.
  • Evaluates and works to improve the capabilities of Business Intelligence tools through new methodologies, technology, and data management. Review reports to improve accuracy, functionality, and consistency.
  • Develops a combination of simple to complex SQL queries to fulfill stakeholder's requests while following our SQL best practices documents.
  • Provide daily support to functional users on HR Reporting Systems through tickets in ServiceNow.
  • Demonstrate a deep understanding of the business processes related to all relevant data systems.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of functionality, maintenance and support of the core HR data systems.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for HR reporting within relevant HR systems
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for HR Power BI reporting and data quality within that system.
  • Assist in the coaching and development of Power Bi understanding in direct stakeholders.
  • Develop, test, and implement new solutions to data queries or data quality issues.
  • Estimate and evaluate effort for potential projects
  • Support ad-hoc reporting and HR data requests for all Brands
  • Support UAT and other application testing during routine and unscheduled maintenance cycles, system implementations or other integration projects. Assist with developing appropriate documentation such as business requirements and test scripts.
  • Perform regression testing on the SQL data lake and Power BI infrastructure whenever large changes occur in our data pipelines.
  • Analyze and document current business functions to identify areas for opportunity
  • Regularly assist with the workspace and dataset review including updating documentation and providing support for internal/external testing
  • Use HR data and analytics expertise to influence business decisions, creating an HR competitive advantage for our diverse retail brands, supply chain, and shared services customers
  • Partner with IT to continuously improve the HR User Experience for HR systems, applications and technology - evaluating the effectiveness of current HR Solutions while leveraging industry best practices
  • Develop innovative solutions and analytics frameworks to help the business understand HR patterns and connections across the 'Hire to Retire' lifecycle - creating actionable decision-making frameworks for our customers.
  • Participate in projects, collaborating with Senior Analysts, business leaders, and HR to solve moderately complex business problems and improve business effectiveness.
  • Accurately document information, scripts, issues and anything else relevant within the designated system of record.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree or an equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience. Preferred backgrounds include I/O Psychology or strong quantitative disciplines
  • 4+ years of HR data analytics experience or proven transferable BI analyst experience.
  • Critical and Systematic Thinking
  • Advanced MS Office - Primarily Excel
  • Intermediate MS Power BI Experience (preference towards strong Dax/ M query experience)
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively present findings and recommendations to stakeholders
  • Ability to prioritize and work independently with guidance.
  • Basic understanding of statistical methods
  • Thoroughness in data analysis and reporting to ensure accuracy.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Aptitude for comprehending and leveraging both HR and technical concepts for continuous improvement and process re-design.
  • Ability to document and triage data quality issues with guidance.
  • 5-10% Travel


Preferred Qualifications

  • Power BI (Entry Level +)
  • DAX Coding and M Query (Entry Level +)
  • SQL Query Creation Experience (We use SSMS | T-SQL) (Entry Level +)
  • Understanding of HR Data Models
  • Experience in any of the following SuccessFactors Modules:
