POSITION SUMMARY:
Performs Human Resources related duties at the professional level with an energetic and “can do” attitude. Prior experience in at least three or more of the following functional areas: Benefits, Leave of Absence Administration, ACA, Wellbeing Administration, Employee Relations, Onboarding and Training.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Administers various human resources benefit plans and programs, disability leave, FMLA/FFCRA and company policies.
- Assist in providing Census reporting to our vendors.
- Assists in the administration and communication of the wellbeing program.
- Assist in the yearly open enrollment process and new hire enrollment/orientation.
- Update Paylocity with benefit information
- Update Benefit Hub/Intranet
- Responsible for the annual service awards distribution.
- Assist in processing and distribution of the Total Reward Statements
- Communicates with employees and management to maintain compliance with various HR policies, procedures, laws, postings, standards and government regulations;
- Maintains personnel files by scanning of employee documents in Laserfiche’. Complete, up-to-date, and correctly filed;
- Generates reports in Paylocity. Ensures data integrity of the system; performs queries and pulls reports from the system as needed.
- Performs benefit administration to include claims resolutions, change reporting, invoice approvals; communicates benefit information to employees and answers employee inquiries.
- Listens and responds timely and appropriately to employee relations issues such as employee complaints; advises managers on sensitive employee discipline matters;
- Gathers data and reports requested by regulators and auditors;
- Provide exit interview information, check list and COBRA information
- Processes reporting for employees (HSA, FSA, FMLA, COBRA, etc.) to the vendors and finance on a regular basis
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
- Research and manage unemployment claims. Work with the state unemployment offices and inside legal counsel.
- Responsible for processing H1-B immigration status forms and documents. Work with employee, management and outside legal counsel.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:
- Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or related field
- Minimum of 3 – 5 years of experience in the Human Resources field.
- Professional in Human Resources Certification, preferred
- Knowledge of key employment laws including federal and state regulations.
- Goal orientated; sense of urgency to complete tasks.
- Experience in working with managers and legal counsel on employee relations issues.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Possesses strong interpersonal skills; good team player.
- Effectively resolves problems or issues by using judgment that is consistent with the corporate culture, standards, best practices, policies, procedures and regulation or government law.
- Ability to organize and prioritize work; demonstrates good work ethic.
- Demonstrates attention to detail; good follow through skills.
- Maintains confidential information.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office© (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook).
- Proficient in Laserfiche’
- Proficient with Paylocity HRIS strongly desired
- Proficient with Salesforce
