What You'll Bring
This role will lead a team of two benefits professionals and is responsible for managing the implementation and delivery of a variety of benefit programs. This role will own and lead TU’s US benefits administration and compliance for our health and welfare programs, well-being, and retirement plans. This role will oversee leave administration including short and long-term disability, FMLA, and ADA. This role will lead annual enrollment, which includes the development and implementation of new benefit offerings and communications. In addition, this role will manage our global reward and recognition program.
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Business, Organizational Psychology, or related field.
Responsible for the overall administration and compliance of all US benefits, well-being, and retirement. programs, including, but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, life, disability, commuter, 401(k), and COBRA.
10 + years’ experience in benefits management program development and implementation.
Strong knowledge of US benefits, well-being, and retirement legislation, compliance requirements, and testing.
Responsible for M&A support including impact analysis, recommendations, plan mergers, and benefits transition.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and sound judgment, independent and creative thinking with an eye for detail and accuracy.
Experience with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, and HRIS, payroll, and benefits vendor software (Workday, preferred).
Impact You'll Make
Evaluates processes and procedures for continuous improvement, including automation.
Develop and maintain relationships with all benefits consultants, brokers, and vendor partners.
Manage the annual open enrollment through communication strategies, materials and system upgrades.
Serve as subject matter expert and lead day-to-day operations of a leave of absence and workers compensation programs in accordance with company policies and state/federal regulations.
Oversee compliance requirements for health, welfare, and retirement plans including but not limited to ACA reporting, non-discrimination testing, summary annual reporting, and annual notices.
Ensure all plan documents, summary plan descriptions, and relevant documents are updated and distributed accordingly.
Experience with Workday
Experience with non-discrimination reporting for health and welfare and retirement plans
Experience with wellness programs
