Chief of Staff Job Description 

Shiftgig is hiring a Chief of Staff reporting into our VP of Operations and CEO. You’ll be responsible for managing various Strategic, Operational, HR and Finance projects. Strategy and Operations

• Oversee cross-functional and company wide initiatives to help drive effectiveness for the business

• Partner within and outside the Exec team to lead complex initiatives--operating at the strategic and tactical level to design optimal workflows

• Operate fluidly across organization and departments 

• Assist with the development of processes and procedures to maintain efficient operations and administrative systems.

• Working closely with the Executive Team, develop strategic framework and long-term operational strategy

• Work closely with the CEO and the executive team on smaller but critical "ad-hoc" projects

Human Resources

• Conduct recruitment efforts and new-employee orientations; monitor career-pathing program

• Administer various human resources plans and procedures for the organization; assist in the development and implementation of corporate culture, policies and procedures

• Mitigate risk and deliver positive outcomes with respect to operational issues

What you’ll need

• 2-4 years of experience as a consultant or 3-5 years of relevant Ops/HR experience

• Strong problem-solving and analysis skills, combing with solid understanding of business strategies 

• Bachelor's degree in business, economics, HR, Operations or finance

• Self-starter, quick learner, and ability to multitask with a positive attitude

• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in work

• Experience in advanced business forecasting or modeling via financial analytics

• Proven ability to track, prioritize, and drive multiple projects to success

• Excellent communicator in written and verbal form; ability to work well with executives, and able to lead and influence across multiple levels and multiple functions of an organization
