About the Role
The Compensation & Benefits Manager is an integral member of the Human Resources team responsible for supporting the administration of benefits and compensation programs that comply with regulatory requirements, drive business results, and enhance our culture. This role is accountable for collaborating with the Human Resources team to support the evaluation and administration of our programs through research, assessment and conducting various total rewards audits.
What You Will Do:
Compensation
- Serve as subject matter expert for all compensation-related matters and maintain a strong knowledge of current compensation market trends, regulations, and laws.
- Participate in the development, design, and maintenance of the job evaluation process, including conducting salary benchmarking, creating salary ranges, and providing recommendations
- Analyze internal and external market data to address compensation-related needs; prepare and present recommendations and participate in surveys
- Work closely with senior management and leaders across the organization to address any employee concerns related to pay and rewards.
- Facilitate the annual compensation planning process and administration of the annual merit and bonus calculations
- Work in close coordination with the Talent Acquisition team to ensure that employee compensation is in alignment with the latest recruiting trends for the industry.
- Oversee all compensation-related tools and identify areas of process improvement to enhance the compensation program, as applicable.
- Leverage broad HR knowledge and experience to ensure compliance to policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Lead compensation compliance with legal and contractual requirements at the federal, state, and local level where Beyond has employees working.
Benefits
- Assist in the development, implementation, and administration of total rewards programs to ensure plans are competitive, compliant, and in alignment with industry standards.
- Responsible for the day-to-day administration of various employee benefit programs including group medical, dental, disability and life insurance, flexible spending accounts, health savings accounts, COBRA, retirement plans and other benefits, including plan reconciliations and audits.
- Serve as subject matter expert for all benefits-related matters and maintain strong knowledge of current benefits market trends and regulations, and work with senior management to identify improvements.
- Partners with the Director of HR Operations on annual renewal and open enrollment initiatives including communication plan, testing, system set-up and execution of open enrollment.
- Manages administration of the 401(K) plan, including but not limited to employee communications, coordination of Investment Committee meetings, vendor management/relations, annual audit, discrimination testing, and compliance mailings.
- Ensures compliance with ERISA, IRS, DOL, FMLA, USERRA, and other federal, state, and local laws as applicable; partnering with the Director of HR Operations, broker, and counsel as needed.
- Support benefit enrollment process and conduct benefit analysis reporting and compliance
- Health & welfare plan vendor management including relationship building, escalation of issues, and partnering with vendor representatives on file errors from the benefit enrollment system to vendor.
- Work with the Communications team to provide proactive communications, enrollment materials and presentations associated with the benefits programs to educate and promote benefits to employees.
Who You Are:
- Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s Degree, preferable in the field of Human Resources or related.
- 5-10 years of experience in Benefits and Compensation. 3 years of manager level experience.
- Advanced knowledge of regulations and requirements associated with compensation.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and MS Office product suite, and track record of building and participating in management presentations.
- A strong understanding of HR Technology Systems and Compensation Tools.
- Experience in building Compensation & Job Structures, as well as conducting market benchmarking.
- Experience with Recognition & Reward Programs, Benefits Programs, Enrollment Systems, Vendor file feeds, and Compliance.
- Comfort working in a high volume, fast-paced, rapidly changing, results-oriented work environment.
