West Monroe’s Chicago office has an immediate opportunity for a Culture and Events Specialist to join our Shared Services function and play a key role in energizing our Chicago office culture through the development and execution of events and social engagements.
Key responsibilities:
- Cultivate creative ways to energize the Chicago office culture through the development and execution of events and social engagements.
- Proactively consult and support key Chicago office stakeholders in the full lifecycle of office events including strategy development, establishing event goals and KPIs, budget planning and management, collaborating with corporate communications and marketing on the creation of event materials, site and vendor sourcing and selection, contract
- negotiations, event execution, pre-and-post event surveying, and reporting.
- Partner with Inclusion & Diversity team, as well as ERG Leaders to support the planning and execution of in-person and virtual events including employee listening sessions, panel discussions, and other social programs.
- Collaborate with Philanthropy Lead to support Chicago volunteer programs and philanthropic initiatives.
- Support Chiefs Program leaders with the planning and execution of West Monroe’s annual Chief’s Fair.
- Partner with organizations our Chicago employees are aligned with by establishing pro bono and philanthropic opportunities to host events in our office.
- Work with building operations and facilities to book and maximize the use of office amenities.
- Collaborate with national operations team to ensure inventory levels are maintained for various office supplies.
- Execute ad hoc office operations duties as requested including ensuring conference rooms are clean, organized, and supplied, booking conference rooms for large meetings, and ordering catering for large meetings and events.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience preferred.
- 2+ years of event management experience
- Hybrid (remote and in-person) event management is a major plus.
- A proven track record for planning and executing events and driving consistency.
- Strong computer skills: Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and SharePoint.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented with timely follow-through and communication with all internal and external stakeholders.
- Excellent project management skills, and the ability to execute programs autonomously with speed, accuracy, and efficiency.
