Director of Learning & Development
The Director of Learning & Development will lead the strategy, design and implementation of effective agent and leader development programs that deliver measurable performance outcomes. These programs and learning approaches will align with our business needs, be highly effective and remain in tune with GoHealth’s sales driven culture. The performance of our business is highly dependent on training and support from the Learning & Development team. The leader of this team must be experienced, motivated, and dedicated to continuous improvement and quality training across the business.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to design, develop and implement effective and business-friendly initial and ongoing learning programs for GoHealth agents and leaders
- Designs development plans to onboard and support agents and leaders and develop them to progress through the established career paths
- Establishes training capacity plans to accommodate year round and ramp staffing initiatives
- Facilitates Leadership Development experiences for manager and above leaders, including core leadership programs for Managers and Directors
- Develops evaluation strategies to measure program effectiveness with a keen focus on collecting data and measuring outcomes to continuously improve our learning solutions
- Monitors performance trends (sales, compliance, productivity) and recommends new strategies to address opportunities
- Partners with Operations leadership to create learning strategies to support projects and new business implementations
- Delivers executive summaries to communicate results and status of learning initiatives
- Provides learning and development thought leadership, coaching, and advisory support to leaders across the business
- Implement/support the delivery of larger scale team experiences (e.g. leadership training, department meetings) to ensure clarity and alignment
Skills and Requirements:
- 7+ years of work experience in a strategic learning & development leadership role
- 7+ years of work experience leading large scale training initiatives/learning projects
- Bachelors Degree, Associates Degree, or related business experience; Master’s Degree preferred
- Vendor management or consulting experience
- Ability to design evaluation strategies to measure learning program effectiveness; ROIp certification a plus
- Experience creating learning strategies using alternative modalities and technology
- Exceptional communication skills with the ability to simplify complex concepts
- Exceptional listening skills and emotional intelligence to read and interpret team and leader dynamics
- Passion for continuous improvement and leveraging the expertise of partners and business leaders
- Comfort with challenging others respectfully and encouraging spirited debate
- Strong ability to build high trust relationships with leaders at all levels
