We are a social learning platform powered by a proprietary A.I. that college professors use to scale curiosity-based online discussion in any size course.  

 

Who are we looking for?

Packback is looking to add a highly-motivated Director of People to manage our HR and talent functions.  Reporting to the CFO, the Director of People will be responsible for leading our HR strategy and vision for the Company.  The ideal candidate is a self-starter with experience in a HR manager or director capacity in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, with a passion for finding and owning opportunities. 

 

Awesome stuff you will do!

  • Talent Strategy:  Creating our talent acquisition strategy to attract and place roles across departments, oversee third party recruiters, and manage the hiring process for technical roles. 
  • Policies & Procedures:  Development and maintenance of employee handbook, ensuring compliance with all local, state and federal employment laws, and general HRIS procedures.
  • Learning & Development: Ownership of our performance and engagement management platform, formalize company performance review process, and oversee employee development programs. 
  • Employee Retention & Engagement:  Proactive management of employee retention through developed onboarding procedures (and off boarding), employee surveys, cultural exercises, defined compensation plans, and growth check-ins. 
  • Benefits Administration:  Overseeing benefits planning, administering and maintaining company benefit plans, and serving as the point of contact to our benefits broker.  

What you bring to the table:

  • Bachelor’s degree (with a focus in HR a plus)
  • 5-8 years experience in an HR related field
  • PHR or SHRM-CP required
  • Agile and adaptable to changing circumstances or requirements.
  • Highly accountable with ability to handle multiple projects, manage competing priorities and workflow
  • Proficient in managing HRIS and ATS platforms.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of local, state and federal employment laws.
  • Experience planning, managing and executing large-scale HR projects
  • Demonstrated understanding of benefit plan administration
  • Experience managing and providing solutions for employee relations issues  
  • Demonstrated understanding of how to operate with the highest level of discretion
  • Excellent interpersonal and public-facing communication skills, with the ability to communicate with all levels inside and outside the company
  • Be a lifelong learner - be willing to provide and receive feedback from team members on a regular basis, in a shared effort of furthering our personal and team growth
