What You Will Be Doing
Reporting to the EVP, People & Culture, the Director, Talent Acquisition will be a hands-on leadership position leading the TA team and ensuring the Elevate K-12 hiring engine delivers the right talent needed on time, efficiently, and effectively. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and executing strategies around sourcing and pipelining, KPIs/metrics, supporting technology and infrastructure, and operational processes that drive the effective execution of Elevate’s talent sourcing, selection, and onboarding.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, execute, and measure an effective talent acquisition strategy and hiring plan for the organization that is aligned with our business strategy, culture, and talent needs
- Partner with hiring managers and senior leaders to develop and deliver talent pipelines to fill roles on our U.S. team – focusing on attracting the right talent that is aligned with our culture and mission and can operate at a start-up pace, while achieving time-to-hire objectives
- Ownership and involvement in key leader hires in partnership with the CEO and senior leadership team
- Lead and develop a small but high-performing TA team
- Ensure compelling talent attraction and selection methods developing and leveraging our employer brand positively through various sourcing channels to improve candidate awareness
- Provide accurate reporting to demonstrate productivity and progress. Build capabilities such as predictive analytics to inform decision making around forecasting talent requirements and success of candidate sourcing strategies
- Review and analyze relevant data and trends (including assessment of talent gaps, competition, and the talent marketplace) to provide insights
- Keep leadership informed on strategic and emerging staffing trends to proactively acquire talent
Who You Are
- 5+ years of experience as a TA leader with solid business acumen, delivery, operational leadership, and a sophisticated approach to talent acquisition
- Demonstrated ability to operate at pace as part of a small team in a high-growth start-up environment
- Understanding of what’s important to the senior leaders and hiring managers (e.g., time to hire, location, communication), as well as long-term business requirements, and ability to use that knowledge to guide the development of end-to-end hiring plans
- Sharp analytical skills; comfortable working with data, tracking metrics, and reporting TA-specific KPIs
- Hands-on leader with a participative approach and a supportive management style that focuses on the development and empowerment of team members
- Natural collaborator and builder of relationships; ability to influence others at all levels of the organization
- Accountable self-starter with strong organization skills, detail orientation, ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- A Bachelor’s degree, with experience in a tech, software, or start-up company preferred
