What You'll Bring
3+ years of knowledge and experience in corporate sustainability reporting.
Develops advanced program initiatives and guides their development into a final product or service that has impact within cross-functional teams within Sustainability Office/Legal or with Marketing/HR, or enterprise wide.
Must be able to work independently and exercise full management authority. Comfortable working in a start-up environment, establishing processes for integrating with other existing teams/processes.
Communication involves planning and preparation of the communications, require skill, tact, persuasion and/or negotiation to accomplish the objectives of the communications. Contacts are typically with senior-level individuals, and/or individuals of significant importance in Legal, Marketing, HR and/or business units.
Exceptional excel and record-keeping skills.
High-energy, self-starter, collaborative, organized, highly detail-oriented.
Passion for social justice and sustainability issues required; experience in this area a plus.
Demonstrated organizational & project management skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong problem solving and decision-making abilities.
Demonstrated ability to identify problems that require in-depth analysis, may span two or more work groups.
Ability to work cross-functionally with different environments.
We’d Love to See:
Bachelors in Sustainability, Accounting, or Finance; MBA or graduate degree preferred.
Impact You'll Make
The Sustainability Office oversees the development and implementation of TransUnion’s corporate sustainability programming. The sustainability programing includes: engaging key stakeholders, setting sustainability objectives, overseeing goal execution, reporting enterprise progress as well as providing thought leadership on emerging environmental, social, and governance (“ESG”) risks and opportunities. As part of the Sustainability Office, this role will play a central role in continuing to build out TU’s global ESG reporting efforts. The role will provide leadership on TransUnion’s ESG reporting practices and help develop processes as needed. This role may also support other sustainability, as workflows allow. This position will engage directly with departments and external vendors.
Demonstrates business acumen beyond own Sustainability Office. Pursues objectives and goals and recommends solutions influencing key outcomes in Sustainability office, Legal Department and across the enterprise as opportunities surface.
Responsible for developing, reporting and tracking processes across all ESG metrics.
Provides recommendations and expertise on pending projects, as issues arise.
Aid in research and drafting of sustainability messaging, stakeholder response, and reporting.
Develops technical solutions to complex problems, which require the regular use of ingenuity and creativity.
Engages with executives and outside parties regularly.
While Chicago or Washington, D.C. is preferred, we will consider fully remote candidates also.
