Rocket Travel is looking for a Global People Operations Manager to join our growing People Operations team. In this role, you’ll work cross functionally with every department at Rocket and work on small tasks and big projects that adds immediate value to the company.

This role will report directly to the VP of People Operations and will manage a People Ops/Office Coordinator. This position is based out of our Rocket HQ's located in Chicago's West Loop.

    • Total Compensation is based on experience - Salary: $95k - $125k + Bonus: 20% - 25%
  • Can have a flexible work schedule. Our Rocket Travel HQ is located in Chicago’s West Loop, where this position is based from, we have a hybrid team, and a flexible work environment.

As a Global People Operations Manager at Rocket Travel, you will: 

  • Design and execute retention and engagement strategies Globally for a hybrid workforce to continually develop and retain high performers and high potential talent 
  • Work with the VP of People Ops to build and execute timely, effective, and scalable people programs and processes which will support the business. These include (but are not limited to) the performance management process, Rocket policies and procedures, benefits & perks optimization, celebrations and opportunities to give back to our community
  • Partner with People Managers to lead initiatives to improve work relationships, build morale, identify and address organizational effectiveness gaps, and increase productivity and retention
  • Analyze people ops metrics to identify business opportunities and provide strategic thought partnership with our People Managers to develop and implement solutions that are aligned with our values
  • Develop an inviting office experience and manage the upkeep of the office, working closely with the People Ops/Office Coordinator, IT Tech Support, and Building Management 
  • Provide an incredible onboarding experience for new hires, partnering closely with the Head of Talent Development, IT Tech Support, and People Ops/Office Coordinator
  • Champion and personally demonstrates our Rocket values 

About you:

  • You have 6 - 8 years of HR/People Operations experience, a Master's Degree or PHR, SPHR, SHRM CP or SHRM SCP certification. You consider yourself a subject matter expert on HR compliance, employee relations, and employee engagement 
  • You get excited about leading and driving compliance and employee engagement strategies. You’ve implemented policies and procedures, worked on employee handbooks and addendums, you enjoy developing and building out the employee experience and a fun office environment
  • You put the internal customer front and center while staying true to our Rocket Mission and Values. Your colleagues are your customers. You ensure that we are tackling challenges with our Rocket Mission and Values as our North Star
  • You seek feedback. You have a growth mindset, are comfortable soliciting thoughts from others, and are curious to learn from a spectrum of perspectives
  • You balance exploration with execution. Exploration and execution are both key to building innovative experiences. You understand when it’s time to explore and when it’s time to deliver
  • You’re familiar with our systems. Nice to have but not mandatory, we can train you! We use Workday, Greenhouse, Google Workspace, & Slack
  • You know how to manage your own deadlines across projects. There will be short turnarounds for some projects, and longer engagements for others. You know how to balance both
  • You’re scrappy. We’re a small team and often wear many hats. Some projects may not be completely defined. This individual will take a resourceful approach to what’s needed and drive results

Every year, Rocket Travel puts on an annual company retreat. Last year, we went to Scottsdale, AZ where we got to spend time with our co-workers from all across the Globe!
