We are seeking a Head of Human Resources to join our Chicago team. The Head of Human Resources will be a dynamic leader who aligns and executes HR strategy to influence business success. This role will be instrumental in shaping our culture, supporting our business strategies, and developing the talent pipeline necessary to make an impact on ThinkMarkets’ global strategic growth. The ideal candidate will be a process-driven individual with strong hands on experience establishing HR best practices and programs, who also has extensive experience within HR at a financial services or trading company.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide direction and consultation on emerging trends and evolving recruiting practices for talent in technology and financial services
  • Lead a Human Resources team focused on driving accountability
  • Own the talent management life-cycle with proactive workforce planning, talent acquisition, performance management, organizational design, and employee experience
  • Implement rigor and discipline into the recruiting process, supporting their growth and development, and shaping their strategies and team alignments
  • Guide management and employee actions by researching, developing, writing, and updating policies, on-boarding procedures, and workforce guidelines
  • Communicate and enforce organizational values throughout the global workforce
  • Develop and utilize metrics and reporting to ensure productivity and effectiveness of recruiting efforts
  • Manage and administer the various HR functions such as recruitment, compensation, learning and development, employee relations, record keeping, payroll, and compliance
  • Develop and maintain a strong, interactive relationship with all HR team members, assisting with their professional development

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Human Resources or related
  • 7+ years of progressive Human Resources professional experience with evidence of aligning HR strategy to business strategy
  • Experience in HR at a financial services, FinTech, or trading company is a must have
  • Strong functional leadership with team skills to support the business
  • Proven leadership, project management and time management skills
  • Ability to develop strong relationships and work with senior level executives
  • Strong written/verbal communication skills
  • Solid business acumen, management reporting, and problem-solving skills
  • Able to exercise sound judgment and observe the highest degree of confidentiality
