Position Overview:

The HR Business Partner will support a respective business function by fostering leadership and organizational capability. Building a culture of empowering business leaders to achieve objectives, the HR Business Partner strategically transforms the business by generating insights, identifying needs and translating those needs into talent strategies. Working alongside other HR leaders and in conjunction with department managers, this role’s main focus is to develop and deliver solutions in collaboration with broader organizational goals.

Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate talent assessment and succession planning implementation for assigned area of the business
  • Ensure that talent pipelines are robust across Echo through effective assessment of talent, preparation of HIPO development plans and facilitation of initiatives to ensure emerging leaders have clear visibility to career opportunities
  • Develop strategies for coaching both managers and employees on effective problem resolution and steps to maintain a high performance, positive work environment
  • Support the execution of key training initiatives of both business and individual needs by facilitating training to business leaders on effective coaching, counseling and corrective actions
  • Keep a pulse on company morale and solicit input in order to identify trends, investigate concerns and take appropriate action to resolve any issues, including those impacting corporate policy and/or employment laws
  • Partner with department leaders to develop and implement proactive strategies for improving employee engagement and retention of top talent
  • Drive communication and change management strategies in order to reduce disruption to the business when organizational or operational changes occur
  • Provide education to managers regarding Echo’s compensation philosophy and practices to ensure the integrity of the system is upheld

Requirements:

  • 4-7 years of varied/progressive HR or related business experience
  • Proven ability to work with, inspire and create consensus with a group to cooperatively achieve a common goal
  • Demonstrated leadership capability, including ability to motivate and mentor others at varying levels within the organization
  • Proven experience as a core consultant within multiple areas of HR such as: organizational development, performance management, employee relations, business strategy, change management and talent management
  • Ability to develop and apply HR strategies against business initiatives
  • Demonstrated ability to lead change efforts and project management across the organization
  • Bachelor’s Degree strongly preferred
  • Prior support of tech organization preferred
