POSITION SUMMARY: The position of the Manager, HR Compliance-LOA/ADA role is to support all company sponsored leaves for the corporate office and stores including daily contact with associates as needed. This role manages the medical leaves for non-FMLA eligible associates as well as personal leaves and military leaves. Management of the LOA process and supporting documents and database is required. Management of the ADA accommodation process for all employees, including documentation and database maintenance is critical to this role.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Function as main point of contact for all associates requiring a leave of absence; provide education on the leave process and guidance on next steps.
  • Sole partner for Benefits team to transition all LOA vendor denied leaves to a company leave if qualified including non-benefit eligible and end of FMLA transitions.
  • Partners with Corporate HRBP team as well as HRSC team to handle all associate leaves.
  • Manages the Non-FMLA LOA process from inquiry to associate return to work; this includes verbal and written correspondence with the associate and healthcare providers.
  • Manages accommodation process and corresponding documents for company including verbal and written communication with the associate and appropriate healthcare providers.
  • Responsible for all record-keeping in SAP/KRONOS/ERMS database for all leaves and accommodations including inactive status entries.
  • Creates reports to assess trends and analyze data to ensure compliance.
  • Manages time away for all associates and ensures return to work in accordance with specific leave policy.
  • Reviews all leaves on a daily basis to assess return to work or other employment action.
  • Proactively communicates to associates in non-FMLA leaves to ensure timely receipt of documentation and return to work.
  • Corrects LOA errors and over-payment as necessary
  • Assists in development of tools and applications as needed to enhance LOA program including training sessions (lunch breaks)
  • Assists in implementation of new and/or changing legal requirements within HR specifically ADA requirements.
  • Participates in projects, programs, meetings and conferences as necessary.

Requirements

REQUIREMENTS FOR CONSIDERATION:

  • 8-10 years of varied/progressive HR or related business experience.
  • Strong knowledge of FMLA and ADA laws is required.
  • Strong knowledge of human resources policies, programs, metrics and systems.
  • Ability to run reports from various software programs.
  • Ability to work in a team environment, build partnerships and work cross functionally.
  • Ability to multi-task, manage work and execute tasks in a timely manner.
  • Detail oriented and highly organized.
  • Strong communication skills both verbal and written
  • Strong analytical skills.

Our satellite campus is in Chicago at 120 S. Riverside Plaza with 100 workstations & conference rooms which associates can reserve.
