What will you be doing?
The HR Coordinator is responsible for assisting in the day-to-day operations of the Human Resources department. This position is expected to provide a high level of customer service and have a track record of impeccable communication, organization, and attention to detail. While this is an entry-level position, the HR Coordinator works closely with the Director, Human Resources and Sr. HR Specialist providing an opportunity to continually learn and grow. This position is designed to provide the foundations of MoLo and Human Resources in preparation for becoming an HR Generalist.
Responsibilities:
- Administer all employee onboarding including initiating background checks, verifying I-9 documentation, and setting up direct deposit.
- Manage the HR email inbox and internal messages (Slack) and serve as the first point of contact for questions directed to Human Resources.
- Troubleshoot HRIS (Paylocity) questions from employees.
- Help perform HRIS audits and data upkeep, making corrections and changes as needed.
- Oversee and execute MoLo’s employee engagement initiatives, coordinating events and celebrations where appropriate.
- Stay updated on entry-level knowledge of legal requirements affecting human resources functions and assist in ensuring policies, procedures, and reporting are compliant.
- Assist with the offboarding process including preparing separation documentation, updating employee statuses, issuing exit surveys, coordinating equipment return, and providing COBRA documentation.
- Schedule company communications and ensure important information is distributed on time. This includes new hire benefit enrollment, 401(k) enrollment, birthday and anniversary announcements, etc.
- Assist the Talent team as needed including, but not limited to, sending candidate communication and coordinating hiring manager interviews.
- Provide support on special projects and tasks as assigned.
Requirements
- 0-2 years of Human Resources experience
- Basic understanding of Human Resources and eager to grow skills and knowledge
- Proven communication skills, both verbal and written
- Strong attention to detail and organization
- An innate interest in helping others
- Experience with Paylocity or other HR systems is a benefit but not required
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
