HR Coordinator

We are looking for an HR Coordinator to join our People Operations team. This person will be providing administrative support to the function as needed, including updating and maintaining our HRIS, record keeping and file maintenance of our employee personnel folders, and coordinating the onboarding of all new employees.
What You'll Do:
- Conduct semi-monthly new hire orientation classes, including all prior preparation and day-of coordination of tours, presentations, and manager introductions
- Support and coordinate the Onboarding and Offboarding processes of Tempus employees including tasks such as:
- Send all new hire and separation paperwork
- Complete and verify Forms I-9 and associated documents
- Initiate new-employee background checks
- Initiate equipment and IT access requests
- Prepare new-employee files and ongoing maintenance of personnel files
- Conduct audits of payroll, benefits or other HR programs and recommends corrective action
- Make photocopies; scan and email documents; and perform other clerical functions such as employment verifications
- Provide basic support for employee payroll and benefits questions, such as inquiries surrounding the administration of payroll/benefit policies and procedures, and appropriately escalate high-level questions to Benefits Specialist or Payroll Analyst
- Identify and recommend new opportunities where HR can add value to the business and organizational culture
- Maintain a knowledge of progressive HR practices and key trends
- Assess employee engagement on an ongoing basis
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in human resources, business, or a related field required
- Interest in pursuing a career path in HR operations
- Ability to handle highly confidential data with integrity and professionalism
- Ability to work with diverse, creative, professional people in a fast-paced and high growth environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational skills to simultaneously manage projects and daily administrative tasks
