While most of us continue to work remotely, our newly renovated headquarters at the Old Post Office is open for voluntary return to work. The HR Coordinator plays an integral role in managing the employee experience, including supporting the onboarding of new hires. Additionally, the HR Coordinator provides day-to-day support to the HR team and serves as the face of HR, responding to and resolving employee inquiries on HR-related matters.
New Hire Administration and Onboarding:
- Facilitate the pre-employment logistics for new hires, including but not limited to: generating and sending offer letters, initiating background checks, coordinating equipment needs with IT, sending out pre-first day communications to new hires and hiring managers
- Schedule and conduct weekly new hire orientation for salaried employees in multiple locations across the U.S.
- Create supporting documentation for internal promotions and transfers
Monitor and Respond to Employee Inquiries:
- Monitor the HR inbox and respond to general internal and external email inquiries
- Escalate email inquiries to other internal departments as needed
- Research and/or coordinate responses on more complex topics
Facilitate Employee Off-boarding:
- Process terminations in the company’s HRIS
- Send off-boarding guidance to managers and exiting employees Ensure exit interviews are sent to exiting employees in a timely manner
People Team Administration:
- Serve as administrator for employee experience surveys, aggregating results into digestible reports and identifying trends
- Identify and execute continuous improvement projects to facilitate efficient and effective execution of HR work Enter data changes into company’s HRIS as needed
- Pull reports and audit data from HRIS systems Serve as a back-up individual for the HR Operations Manager and Coordinator
