Data Analyst  

This team member will develop the analytics back bone of the Global People Operations team by being a data guru who is willing to roll their sleeves up to power valuable analytics & insights.  

What You'll Do 

  • Work with Global People Operations Team to identify business relevant data, through a lens of optimization, organization, and streamlining 
  • Build business consumable data tables from raw data collected and work with People Operations Team   to set up the data pipelines needed for reporting & analytics  
  • Collaborate with People Operations stakeholders to define business metrics & set up appropriate reporting for both highly confidential information as well as for Company distribution. 
  • Work on developing operational tools that improve operational efficiency & work on ad hoc data requests 
  • Work closely with the People team to provide support on applicable HR system updates, testing, training, maintenance, documentation, and communication. 
  • Be an expert on data discovery and set up data governance for business consumable data tables 
  • Partner with people operations team to track data points generated by existing platforms (HCM, Payroll, ATS and LMS to name a few) and ensure safe & secure storage. 
  • Assist in the development & configuration of new HRIS systems  

Basic Qualifications 

  • A minimum of 2 years of robust work experience in a startup, strategy, operations, analytics, business development, or a variety of other specialty roles with shown ability in quantitative fields is encouraged, but we'll evaluate candidates with less experience if they meet our other requirements 
  • Problem solving and curious nature--Being able to tackle issues that involve people, things, and processes by using logic, common sense and data. Identifying the root cause of a problem and a solution as opposed to focusing on the symptoms 
  • Be team player in a constantly changing work environment at a high growth startup 
  • Solid communication skills that will allow you to clearly explain your work and results and to participate in global discussions and trainings     

Technical expertise Necessary:  

  • SQL proficiency 
  • Experience with Excel 
  • Experience with Business Intelligence tools a plus
  • Play a key role in providing business systems analysis “best practices” regarding usage implementation and integration of all HR and HRIS systems 
  • Work closely with the People team to provide support on applicable HR system updates, testing, training, maintenance, documentation, and communication. 
  • Lead initiatives for implementation of new Human Resource systems processes and/or procedures. 
  • Test new customizations, functional updates/fixes and/or new features. 
  • Coordinate with internal business owners to identify root causes of and solutions to data integrity and system performance issues. 
  • Answer end-user questions and ensure issues are tracked, reported on, and resolved in a timely manner. 
  • Assist with mitigating potential data integrity issues through report development, auditing and uploads into HR databases. 
  • Develop and modify new and/or existing reports/queries, including but not limited to, gathering requirements from end-users, document requirements, and testing of new reports. 
  • Performs other related duties as required and assigned.
