We are in search of a qualified and resourceful HR Business Partner to support our HR department in ensuring smooth and efficient business operations. The HR Business Partner will be the first point of contact for our employees when it comes to all Human Resources matters. Additionally, in this role the HRBP will provide day to day administration of payroll, benefits, and compensation, provide support for Everspring’s talent acquisition processes, and assist with training and development.

 

This position reports to the VP of HR and is based in our headquarters located in Chicago, IL.

 

Objectives of this Role

  • Assist in administering benefits, compensation, and employee performance programs
  • Suggest new procedures and policies to both improve employee experience and improve the Assist in developing and executing personnel procedures and policies, and provide guidance and interpretation of these policies for business operations
  • Participate in development of HR metrics and reporting, and develop data-driven HR objectives and systems based upon these metrics
  • Manage payroll in conjunction with both the VP of HR and SVP of Finance & Administration
  • efficiency of the HR department and Everspring as a whole
  • Ensure compliance of with relevant state and federal employment regulations and, including updates to policies and/or procedures as required
  • Lead weekly new employee orientation and assist in the delivery of other L&D programs

 

Responsibilities

  • Manage the new hire onboarding process, including scheduling, ensuring all relevant paperwork is completed, and coordinating cross-functional stakeholders to deliver an exceptional first-day experience
  • Handle all administrative tasks for onboarding and new hire orientation, including entering data into HR information systems and auditing for accuracy and compliance
  • Provide an effective and dedicated HR advisory service to employees covering absence and health issues, conduct and capability, grievance matters, organizational change, questions about Everspring policies, and all other employee-relations matters
  • Be the primary contact for payroll processing, including: semi-monthly updates to employee files, bonus/incentive pay, tracking vacation/sick pay, importing expense reimbursements, inputting exceptions, hourly employee validations, and benefit changes
  • Assist in the communication, interpretation, and upkeep of employee handbook, employee directory, and organizational chart, and contributes to the development of HR policies
  • Assist in recruitment efforts by providing sourcing support and development of candidate pool for assigned roles
  • Facilitate company-wide meetings and corporate events and activities

 

Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, business, or a related field
  • +2 yrs. of HR experience in organizations with 100+ headcount
  • Excellent communication skills, interpersonal skills, ethics, and cultural awareness
  • Resourceful, problem-solving aptitude and thorough knowledge of HR procedures and policies
  • Advanced knowledge of a workforce management tools: HRIS system

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Natural interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong detail-oriented and resourceful mindset
  • Knowledge of HR federal laws and regulations
  • Previous experience utilizing HRIS tool: Paylocity
