We are seeking an HR Business Partner to help support our growing team. The HR Business Partner consults with employees and managers to identify talent and business needs and partners with our fellow colleagues in HR, Recruiting, Total Rewards, and Learning and Development to create and deliver innovative talent solutions that empower, enable and enable employees to: champion our culture and core values, contribute their best work to advance business objectives, and take charge of their career growth to reach their fullest potential. 

 

The HRBP is a key player in driving more progressive performance management practices, career pathing and development, real-time recognition, talent reviews/succession plans/internal pipelines, employee engagement, inclusion and diversity, and talent development initiatives.

What you'll do:

  • Gather, analyze and translate data (e.g. from HR metrics, focus groups, new hire/exit interviews, surveys, etc.) into recommendations for talent strategies and initiatives that address organizational priorities and unmet needs
  • Contributes to and implements HR strategies/talent programs, policies and practices within assigned teams
  • Build solid relationships with leaders and assist them in finding appropriate HR solutions to meet their needs. Coach them to effectively manage and grow their teams, in alignment with organizational goals, values, competencies, and policies/procedures
  • Drive quarterly performance management, compensation and promotion cycles within assigned teams; motivate/ inspire management to set and hold employees accountable to high standards of performance
  • Lead succession planning and talent review within assigned teams to identify capability, strengths and gaps, and plan effectively to ensure appropriate pipeline and strategy that will meet current and future needs
  • Serve as Change Agent, planning and implementing effective change management strategies, communications and training in support of major organization change/transformation initiatives. Provide feedback on and monitor effectiveness of those initiatives
  • Serve as initial contact for employee relations issues. Escalates new/complex issues as appropriate to HR Director or Legal Counsel
  • Develop and/or deliver presentations and training (e.g. new employee orientation, employee development, etc.)

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Human Resources, Psychology, Industrial Relations, Organization Effectiveness or related field
  • 5+ years of experience providing HR consulting to managers; deploying HR/talent policies/programs/practices (e.g. performance management, career pathing, talent assessment, succession planning, compensation, employee development, workforce planning)
  • Proven ability to develop and maintain relationships at all levels of the organization, exhibiting strong communication (both verbal and written) and influencing skills
  • Demonstrated interest or experience with progressive HR
  • Strong proficiency in Excel
  • Experience using Human Capital Management software
  • Must be able to work effectively in an agile, fast paced, team environment
  • Must be effective and creative in problem solving
  • HR professional certifications (PHR or SHRM-CP) a plus
