We are looking for a Human Resources Specialist to join our global People Operations team. The Human Resources Specialist will own the daily HR operations and recruiting functions for the US business. In this role, you will be a go-to expert regarding the ins and outs of cleverbridge’s policies, people processes and benefits. You will also be the face of the company to all candidates and new hires as the main manager of the US recruiting process.

You must have a strong knowledge of core generalist topics such as benefits administration, talent acquisition, employee relations, and compliance. You will also work closely across all our People Operations functions to implement initiatives designed to ensure that every cleverbridge employee is able to be productive, engaged, and successful.

This role is based in Chicago and reports to the Senior Manager, People Operations also in Chicago.

 

Your Responsibilities

  • Manage all talent acquisition for US business including direct sourcing and agency relationship management
  • Lead the employee onboarding experience from offer letter through new hire activity coordination
  • Maintain HRIS records in our people systems (Paycom and Microsoft Dynamics)
  • Collaborate with benefits broker and Finance department for benefits and compensation topics including open enrollment, compensation changes, benefits education, and broker relationship management
  • Maintain reports and analyze data to suggest and support people initiatives
  • Provide excellent counsel and guidance on US employment practices to managers based in Germany (or other global locations) that have direct reports in the US business
  • Be a trusted resource for employee questions around benefits, people processes, and employee relations issues
  • Maintain legal compliance through activities such as I-9 verification and documentation, internal and external audit participation, and annual federal reporting such as EEO-1 and others
  • Ensure employment practices are compliant with internal policies and procedures as well as external laws and regulations
  • Support cyclical processes such as open enrollment, performance management, and compensation reviews
  • Lead the employee off boarding experience and conduct exit interviews as needed
  • Support the global People Operations department in special projects

Your Background

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • 3-5 years’ experience in an HR role with experience in recruiting
  • Ability to work with limited direction; extremely proactive and driven
  • Knowledge of relevant employment laws, policies, procedures and practices
  • High degree of professionalism, maturity and confidentiality
  • Experience in working with Applicant Tracking Systems, Paycom, or Microsoft D365
  • Strong Word, Excel, PowerPoint and SharePoint skills
  • Strong interpersonal communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal
  • Highly curious and willingness to learn from mistakes and give/receive – sometimes challenging - feedback while role modeling respect and integrity
  • Organized self-starter that can effectively balance competing priorities and manage expectations of internal stakeholders
