Immigration & Mobility Specialist

As an Immigration & Mobility Specialist, you will provide tailored immigration services and support to the business, manage global mobility cases and provide oversight for relocation processes and programs. You will assist in providing immigration case filing preparation, performing assessments on topics such as visa stamping and travel, and helping employees and hiring managers navigate a complex and ever-changing immigration landscape.
Core Duties:
- Serve as a point of contact for employees and hiring managers to provide holistic and consultative services on available immigration options, internal guidelines, and education on new or changing policies
- Respond to inquiries regarding U.S. immigration case status and present available options, including displacement or transfer strategies
- Coordinate all aspects of domestic and global employee transfers, temporary assignments, and extended business travel including immigration, employment, tax, relocation benefits, and other region-specific concerns
- Consult with internal and external subject matter experts regarding tax, legal, compliance and compensation-related issues affecting employee cross-border movement; advise employee and hiring teams on requirements and best practices
- Identify and recommend global mobility program enhancements
- Monitor legal and regulatory environments in various geographic regions and implement related program changes as needed
- Conduct pre-assignment briefings with employees to ensure they understand relocation and immigration terms and requirements
- Manage external service providers in the areas of immigration, tax, temporary housing, etc.
- Communicate clearly and effectively regarding immigration requirements, government procedures, and case processing times to HR business partners, employees and appropriate business leaders
- Manage non-immigrant and immigrant visa filings, including H-1B, TN, E-3, L-1, O-1, PERM, EB-1, EB-2, EB-3 cases in partnership with outside vendors
- Maintain immigration compliance records including quality control, data input, and maintaining the Public Access Files
- Prioritize and manage immigration timelines globally including renewals and expiration dates and ensure that all impacted parties are kept up to date in a timely manner
- Assist with all non-US immigration matters, inquiries, filings and legislative updates
- Handle travel & employment verification requests for foreign nationals
- Design and develop immigration and relocation resources for internal partners and employees to include: FAQs, policies, and process documents
Required Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree
- 3+ years of high volume US business immigration experience with heavy emphasis on consultative services, program management, and/or continuous improvement; international experience is a plus
- Excellent written and verbal communications and the ability to interface with all levels of the organization
- Superior attention to detail, organization and prioritization skills
- Ability to identify, assess and resolve complex problems
- Must be able to stay informed of the ever-changing immigration landscape and be able to outline potential roadblocks as well as provide creative solutions
- A willingness to collaborate and assist whenever, wherever needed
