Our Corporate Home Office has an exciting opportunity for you to excel as an internal communications manager, handling internal business communications. You will pursue the challenges of developing creative content that helps to build the US Operations brand. You will be critical in:
- Generating buzz as the US Ops storyteller, by crafting dynamic messages
- Working as the internal communications author on organizational priorities
- Presenting monthly updates on goals progression
You will provide skillfully crafted content that engages and informs:
- McDonald's Head Quarters (MHQ)
- Field employees
- O/O leadership partners
As the communications manager, you are McDonald's dedicated spokesperson.
Responsibilities
- Build relationships. Establish relationships across the system to uncover on what needs to be communicated, when and how.
- Be creative and innovative. Write copy (including the creation/development of leadership and O/O presentations) for all internal communications and messaging. Create and send out press releases (internal audiences only).
- Drive the business through communications. Partner with US Ops and Communications to drive business results through effectively coordinating (and as appropriate, create) and distributing the right communications, at the right time, via the right channels. Developing communications strategies, supporting strategic Operations initiatives, and crafting management plans for internal partners. Creating and managing monthly status reporting on initiative progress
- Be nimble. As necessary, support revision of communications processes and protocols, develop orchestration plans, serve as gatekeeper of information flow, and support coordination and consolidation of communication to the system.
Minimum Requirements
Basic Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- 5+ years of experience working within a large corporate environment or consulting firm
- 2+ years of internal communications experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- BA/BS Degree preferred
- Experience in storytelling and content development is preferred
- Detail oriented and ability to multi-task
- Experience with connecting the dots and thinking strategically
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Strong presentation and speech writing skills
- Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills, with a strong track record of meeting deadlines
- Proven experience using use social media channels effectively to deliver communications content
