POSITION SUMMARY:
Reporting to the Director of Learning and Development, the Learning and Development Manager will partner closely with Millennium Trust’s business lines to identify, design, and execute learning solutions and programs to develop professionals at every level. This individual will have strong skills in designing e-learning content, the ability to consult and influence at every level, and strategic vision to support the growth and culture of learning at Millennium. This L&D Manager’s critical eye will identify redundancies, streamline processes, leverage automation, and modularize existing courses to micro-learning experiences.
Candidates with samples from a diversified portfolio (live in-person instruction, e-learning, simulations, cohorts, panels) will move to the front of the line. If you have an interest in financial wellness and security (think: how to make your retirement dreams come true), technology, and/or client service this work will especially pique your interest.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Consult with management, stakeholders, and subject matter experts to understand desired business outcomes and translate them into learning objectives and solutions.
- Conduct needs assessments among a variety of practice areas to determine challenges in performance
- Design and create engaging live and self-paced learning experiences and all accompanying material (facilitator guides, participant guides, handouts, exercises, etc.) that address performance and leadership competencies
- Assist in architecting a company-wide, overarching curriculum plan
- Assist business lines in identifying potential trainers and help develop their skills in facilitation, presentation delivery, and coaching
- Partner with business leaders to create on-the-job experiences that enable learners to apply what they have learned
- Assist teams in creating and implementing benchmarks for performance that effectively measure the ROI in learning solutions
- Evaluate current training and development programs, including new hire onboarding, for effectiveness and make recommendations for improvement
- Create and utilize a learning and development brand that standardizes all training material, presentations, and programs
- Ability to design to and operate with Millennium’s core values and skill competencies in mind
- Deliver learning programs as needed and robust Train-the-Trainer sessions for subject matter experts and trainers
- Create learning plans by utilizing internal and external curated content from sources such as LinkedIn Learning, Litmos, and Ascensus
- Stay abreast of industry trends, competition, market, and company internal developments.
- Ability to perform all duties in a collaborative and timely manner while working in a remote, virtual environment.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:
- Strong and proven background in instructional design, organizational development, adult learning or related discipline
- 7-10 years of applicable experience with 1-3 years of applicable leadership experience
- Creativity, curiosity, tech savviness, outside-of-box thinking to design high quality, engaging, modern learning experiences
- Expertise in Captivate and Articulate strongly preferred
- SixSigma Certification a plus
- Basic knowledge of Salesforce and/or Innotrust systems a plus
- In-depth knowledge of curriculum design, instructional methods, and training techniques
- Exceptional client service skills
- Ability to work independently and remotely with both flexibility (take time whenever you need it) and discipline (set and meet your deadlines)
- An affinity for accuracy, efficiency, and prioritization
- A “one-team” attitude – ready to have all hands-on deck to help and develop others when needed
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word PowerPoint and Outlook
- Strong collaboration and interpersonal skills
- Timely and accurate judgement and decision making
