Leave of Absence Specialist
What you’ll be doing:
Enova is currently searching for a Leave of Absence/ADA Coordinator to administer and coordinate the leave of absence and accommodation processes. Under the guidance of the Benefits Team, this individual will act as liaison between Enova’s third party leave administrator and HR/management, answer general employee leave of absence questions, and work on special projects as assigned.
Responsibilities:
- Primary internal point of contact and process owner for all LOA/FMLA, STD/LTD and ADA Accommodation questions and concerns
- Understand, interpret and ensure adherence to FMLA and ADA, State, Local, and Company Leave guidelines
- Meet with Associates regularly regarding the LOA/FMLA process, compliance and administrative steps necessary to comply with company policies and procedures. (This can include in-person, email, and/or phone conversations.)
- Administer all New Parents benefits, including in-person pre-leave check-in meetings
- Coordinate with Enova’s third party leave administrator to ensure Enova’s Leave policies are being administered correctly and manage the communication processes from all sides
- Escalate potential LOA/FMLA abuse issues to Benefits Manager, Human Resources and/or Legal Counsel and LOA/FMLA account team at Enova’s third party leave administrator
- Prepare and deliver LOA process training to various levels of management
- Communicate LOA/FMLA regulations, guidelines for compliance and administrative duties to all levels of management and Associates
- Maintain and update applicable Associate and Manager wiki (intranet) pages
- Collaborate with HR team on attendance issues related to FMLA and/or Company Leaves and performance concerns with related accommodation requests
- Partner with Payroll team to ensure Associates on LOA are compensated correctly
- Update HRIS (Workday) with LOA status and other information, as needed
- Create and manipulate various reports for Benefits Manager, HR team and Work Force Management (Time-Keeping)
- Own ADA accommodation process from beginning to end
- Assist with special benefits team and LOA projects, as needed
What you should have:
- Bachelor degree preferred
- HR certification (i.e. PHR or SHRM-CP) preferred
- Minimum of 2 to 4 years leave of absence and/or human resources experience in a high demand, high output role with a demonstrated track record of success
- Strong attention to intricate details and ability to think critically about data received and transmitted both internally and externally
- Working knowledge of FMLA and ADA
- General knowledge of HRIS systems (Workday preferred)
- Demonstrated capability to execute tasks accurately and efficiently.
- Proven problem solving skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with specific emphasis on ability to clearly communicate process flows and complex administrative tasks to stakeholders
- Ability to effectively manage sensitive and confidential communications and materials
- Microsoft Office Suite proficiency: Word, PowerPoint, Excel
